Do Pillow Pets Make Great Travel Pillows?

Pillow Pets are by far the most well known animal pillows on the market, but do they make the best travel pillows for kids?

You must have seen the advert on the telly . – “It’s a pillow, It’s a pet, it’s a pillow pet. “ Well, even if you haven’t seen it, you can bet your kids have!

The Original 18 inch pillow pets are the most popular toy pillows on the market and there’s a huge range of animal designs now available within the UK. There’s no doubt that they are loved by children and that’s why they make great gifts for kids.

However, our research shows that they seem to be used more as sleeping companions than travel pillows. Kids love to snuggle up to them and even take them on sleepovers.

I personally think they are perfect travelling companions if space isn’t an issue. So for use in the car they are just wonderful travel pillows for kids. They are extremely comfortable and super soft. Your kids will fall sound asleep for hours.

However, taking these 18 inch pillow pets to the airport may prove more of a problem. With the restrictions on the size of hand luggage, unless your child is happy to carry it around the airport, then you may consider them too big.

If this is the case, then do not panic, because pillow pets have brought out the mini pillow pet range. These are known as Pee Wees and are just 11 inches in size. They are just as cute as the larger pillow pets, and a great travel size pillow. They fit very nicely into hand luggage and are lightweight too. The only down side to the mini pillow pets is that the choice is limited. At present only 8 are available to buy in the UK.

If you have taken pillow pets away on holiday with you, then please share your stories with us. We’d love to hear your opinions and whether you think they are great travel pillows for kids.
