Kids Travel Pillows – Tales From America.
Having been away to New York recently to visit the US Toy Fair, I was amazed to see how many kids had travel pillows and pillow pets with them on the flight back home. No sooner had we settled down into our seats than these wonderful animal pillows started to appear from all of the children’s bags.
At this stage, I must admit that I was quite excited, as I sell lots of these on my website,what2buy4kids. I decided to have a quick look around to see what I could see.
Two girls sitting opposite me had pillow pets ( the magical unicorn and the dreamy ladybug). I could also see Comfy Panda and Playful Penguin in the distance. A pair of twin boys had inflatable travel pillows ( from the Funky Airhead range.) Towards the back of the aircraft, I saw a family with a horse animal pillow, a pink bunny and a bear pillow head.
All of the kids were using the animal pillows and pillow pets as cushions to snuggle up to and I wished that these existed when I was a kid.
Not to be outdone, I waited until I had finished my meal, and (more importantly), for the lights to be dimmed, before I reached into my travel bag and took out my very own blue owl travel pillow, which I have affectionately called “Bluey.” Hardy an original name, I know, but it makes sense to me!
Six hours later we all woke up still clutching our collection of travel companions – who says that you can’t take pets and animals onto aeroplanes any more!!!
If you have a story to tell about your adventures with your travel pillow or pillow pet, please comment below. Furthermore, we would welcome any pillow pet photos or travel pillow pictures. Please post them on our facebook page…. and the best ones will receive a free gift from the what2buy4kids website.
